Yizhousaurus (meaning "Yizhou lizard", after the Chuxiong Yi Autonomous Region[1]) is a genus of basal sauropodiform dinosaurs which existed in what is now Lufeng Formation, Yunnan Province of southern China during the lower Jurassic period.[2]
